Part 2 Steve Wilhoite had decided the Rubi was ready for some trail action, but he wanted to make sure the Jeep and its occupants were properly protected. The old trail dogs at POR listened intently to Steve’s request and then went to work. (Click here to read Part 1.)
 
Small incremental removals allowed for perfect fitment on the left side and provided an exact pattern for the other fender.
The provided pattern was sketchy at best. A lot of the front and top of the fender would need to be removed.
The entire protection package matched up and fit the Jeep well at this point. Final fitments were completed at this time. Everything was then removed and sent to the powder coater.
The color match was outstanding. Now we had our work cut out. Initial fitment was easy. Now we had to be sure to keep all these parts scratch-free!!
Right rear going on for the last time. The cutouts shout out “LED TAILS!!!”
At the last minute Steve (the owner) decided on black for the rocker knockers. Look at all the ground clearance now.
Left side on and lookin’ good. The fuel filler and tail light need to go back on and this one is finished.

A Billet gas door and LED taillights complete the job.
